In May 2023, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme 2.0 for IT Hardware for Enhancing India’s Manufacturing Capabilities and Enhancing Exports.

Key Facts

• Target Segment: The Target Segment under the PLI 2.0 Scheme shall include (1) Laptops (1) Tablets (ii) All-in-One PCs (iv) Servers and (v) Ultra Small Form Factor (USFF).
• Tenure of the Scheme: Support under the PLI 2.0 Scheme shall be provided for a period of 6 years.
