Veerangana Rani Durgavati Gaurav Yatra
- In June 2023, Union Home Minister has inaugurated the six-day Rani Durgavati Gaurav Yatra in the Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh.
- Rani Durgavati was born in 1524, in the family of King Keerat Rai of the famous Chandel dynasty in Kalanjar, Uttar Pradesh.
- She shifted her capital from Singorgarh fort to Chauragarh in the eastern region of Madhya Pradesh.
- Rani Durgavati martyrdom on June 24, 1564, is commemorated as “Balidan Diwas” and her mausoleum is located in Barela, Jabalpur.
