REC accorded with ‘Maharatna’ Company Status
- On September 21, 2022, Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has been accorded with the status of a ‘Maharatna’ Central Public Sector Enterprise, thus giving REC greater operational and financial autonomy.
- As on 30 November 2022, there are 12 Maharatna companies in India.
