- On April 25, 2023, the Indian city of Bengaluru (130 north Latitude) experienced an astrophysical phenomenon called Zero Shadow Day at 12:17 p.m.
- Zero Shadow Day is a unique astronomical phenomenon that occurs when the sun is directly overhead. It is the day when the shadow of vertical objects disappears.
- For every point on Earth between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn, there are two Zero Shadow Days a year.
- The Zero Shadow Day is restricted to locations between the tropics only.
