International Year of Millets – 2023
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, organized an opening ceremony for the International Year of Millets-2023 at its headquartered in Rome, Italy in December 2022
- India’s proposal was approved by Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in 2018.
- The United Nations General Assembly has declared 2023 as International Year of Millets at its 75 Session in March, 2021.
